My name is Melissa Olivarez born April 13, 1976 in Edinburg, Texas. I'm
still a resident of Edinburg, Texas and probably always will be. I graduated from Edinburg High School in 1994.
I married at a very young age, 17 on December 24, 1993 while I was still in high school. I wanted to drop out of high
school but my husband would not allow it. In which I'm very thankful he forced me to stay. Shortly after I graduated,
the birth of my first daughter, Katie, would change my life. Here I was just a child myself with a newborn baby.
I didn't have any fun nor get a chance to explore life. My daughter was considered my life. Normally, it is typicall
for a girl at that age to continue with a partying life but I didn't. I chose to take responsibility for the sake of my daugther
and husband. So as soon as I gradutated and my daughter was just a couple of months old I decided that I needed to start
working in order to provide a better life for my daughter. I got a decent job with the City of Mcallen. I worked
there for seven long years and I also had three more beautiful daughters throughout my employment there. I also went
thru a divorce, plus two other relationships in which none lasted. I'm single now and probably will be for a while.
I decided to stay single because love just hurts too much. I don't want to get hurt anytime soon. So right now
I'm enjoying life to the fullest and doing a lot of the things I missed out in my teenage life. I still feel young
I'm only 33 years old. I'm independent and that's how I was raised. I have my own house, my own car and of course my
own bills, hey who doesn't have bills, everyone does. Right now I'm attending South Texas College part time. I'm working
on getting an associates degree in Computer Networking. I love to go out dancing and drink socially when I get a chance
to. I also enjoy shopping, only when I have some extra money. I also enjoy reading and watching romanctic, science
fiction and horror movies. But the most interesting thing I enjoy to do is read about past experiences of people
that have experienced paranormal encounters. I have love for the haunted, the abandoned, the weird and unexplained, all
things lost and forgotten. This is the reason I chose to take pictures of some old churches around the Rio Grande
Valley. Only two are supposed to be haunted by people that used to be there in the past. Plus most
of the pictures you will see on my web page, I took because they are historic and a work of art. To me
they are beautiful and interesting. The most interesting buildings I would love to see, sometime in life,
are castles and cathedrals in Italy, Scotland and Rome. I have a passion for their structure, size and beauty. Mostly
all them have a Gothic look to them. They are just amazing.
